Hello! I'm Jessica, a certified Washington State teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and nine years of experience in public education.

My journey in education began as a Reading Specialist through AmeriCorps, followed by work in resource and behavior support classrooms. Most recently, I spent five years teaching Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Now I’m looking forward to this new adventure!

I believe every child deserves to feel safe, capable, and excited to learn. As a trauma-informed educator trained in Conscious Discipline and Right Response, I know that behavior is communication and am committed to meeting each child where they are.

Outside the classroom, I serve as the Program Coordinator for Forest Youth Success, where I've spent the past six summers helping local teens explore careers and opportunities in forestry.

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me enjoying the outdoors with my family. I grew up in Skamania County, and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest will always be my happy place. At our homestead in Carson, my husband and I share life with our chickens, ducks, a pack of dogs, and one very important turtle.

Whether I'm in the classroom, the forest, or working with families, my goal is the same: to help every child grow with confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
